Role & Functions of the Committee

  1. IT Infrastructure Maintenance: Oversee maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, projectors, scanners, and other ICT devices.
  2. Network & Wi-Fi Management: Ensure uninterrupted functioning of LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and firewall systems.
  3. Software & System Updates: Monitor installation, updating, licensing, and troubleshooting of software and operating systems.
  4. Website & Server Support: Maintain smooth functioning of servers, data storage systems, and internal digital platforms.
  5. Cyber Security Monitoring: Ensure antivirus protection, firewall update, data backup, and cyber-safety protocols.
  6. Classroom ICT Support: Maintain smart boards, LCD projectors, audio systems, and ICT-enabled classrooms.
  7. Asset Inventory: Maintain a digital inventory of all IT equipment with serial numbers, purchase dates, warranty/AMC details.
  8. User Support & Ticketing: Provide technical help to staff, faculty, and students for IT-related issues.
  9. AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) Coordination: Manage contracts with IT service providers for repair, servicing, and replacement.
  10. Documentation: Maintain logs of IT repairs, replacements, upgrades, and network downtime.
  11. Planning & Budgeting: Prepare annual IT maintenance plan and recommend budget for upgrades, AMC, and replacements.
  12. Approval of Purchases/Repairs: Approve IT repair works, minor purchases, and recommend major IT purchases to management.
  13. Meetings & Review: Conduct meetings, review IT issues, and submit progress reports to the Principal/Management.
  14. Emergency Support: Handle critical issues such as system crashes, server failures, network breakdowns, and urgent cyber incidents.
  15. Technical Support: Assist in troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and classroom ICT issues.
  16. Daily Monitoring: Check functioning of Wi-Fi, LAN, computer labs, CCTV connectivity, and projectors.
  17. User Assistance: Provide timely support to faculty, staff, and students facing IT-related problems.
  18. Inventory Management: Update IT asset registers, warranty details, and maintenance logs.
  19. Quality Assurance: Verify that repair and maintenance work is completed satisfactorily by service agencies.
  20. Backup & Data Safety: Support regular data backup processes and ensure secure digital storage.
