Role & Functions of the Committee

  1. Overall Leadership – Oversees the planning, implementation, and monitoring of all EOC activities.
  2. Policy & Compliance – Ensures adherence to UGC guidelines, government schemes, and institutional policies on equality and inclusion.
  3. Resource Approval – Sanctions budget, infrastructure, and support services for EOC initiatives.
  4. Monitoring & Evaluation – Reviews programs for effectiveness and alignment with the objective of providing equal opportunities.
  5. Grievance Oversight – Handles escalated complaints or issues concerning discrimination, inclusion, or accessibility.
  6. Coordination – Acts as the central liaison between Principal, departments, committees, and external agencies.
  7. Program Approval – Authorizes workshops, awareness campaigns, skill development, and training programs.
  8. Documentation & Reporting – Ensures maintenance of records, reports, and compliance documents for IQAC, NAAC, and audits.
  9. Student Support – Identify students from disadvantaged backgrounds and provide guidance on available support and schemes.
  10. Program Implementation – Organize workshops, seminars, and training sessions promoting inclusion, accessibility, and empowerment.
  11. Grievance Assistance – Assist students in reporting issues and follow up on resolution in coordination with the Chairman.
  12. Record Maintenance – Maintain registers, program attendance, activity reports, and student support records.
  13. Awareness Activities – Promote awareness of equal opportunity policies, scholarships, and government welfare schemes.
  14. Coordination – Work with faculty, departments, and external resource persons for smooth execution of initiatives.
  15. Monitoring & Feedback – Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and collect feedback for improvement.
  16. Documentation Support – Prepare reports, photographic evidence, and submissions for compliance and audit purposes.
  17. Ensure equal access and opportunities for students from all backgrounds.
  18. Facilitate scholarships, welfare schemes, and academic support for underrepresented groups.
  19. Organize awareness, skill development, and empowerment programs.
  20. Maintain accurate records and documentation of activities and support provided.
  21. Provide grievance redressal for discrimination or accessibility issues.
  22. Promote a culture of inclusion, equity, and empowerment across the campus.
  23. Liaise with government and external agencies for additional support and schemes.
