Role & Functions of the Committee
- Overall Leadership â Oversees the planning, implementation, and monitoring of all EOC activities.
- Policy & Compliance â Ensures adherence to UGC guidelines, government schemes, and institutional policies on equality and inclusion.
- Resource Approval â Sanctions budget, infrastructure, and support services for EOC initiatives.
- Monitoring & Evaluation â Reviews programs for effectiveness and alignment with the objective of providing equal opportunities.
- Grievance Oversight â Handles escalated complaints or issues concerning discrimination, inclusion, or accessibility.
- Coordination â Acts as the central liaison between Principal, departments, committees, and external agencies.
- Program Approval â Authorizes workshops, awareness campaigns, skill development, and training programs.
- Documentation & Reporting â Ensures maintenance of records, reports, and compliance documents for IQAC, NAAC, and audits.
- Student Support â Identify students from disadvantaged backgrounds and provide guidance on available support and schemes.
- Program Implementation â Organize workshops, seminars, and training sessions promoting inclusion, accessibility, and empowerment.
- Grievance Assistance â Assist students in reporting issues and follow up on resolution in coordination with the Chairman.
- Record Maintenance â Maintain registers, program attendance, activity reports, and student support records.
- Awareness Activities â Promote awareness of equal opportunity policies, scholarships, and government welfare schemes.
- Coordination â Work with faculty, departments, and external resource persons for smooth execution of initiatives.
- Monitoring & Feedback â Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and collect feedback for improvement.
- Documentation Support â Prepare reports, photographic evidence, and submissions for compliance and audit purposes.
- Ensure equal access and opportunities for students from all backgrounds.
- Facilitate scholarships, welfare schemes, and academic support for underrepresented groups.
- Organize awareness, skill development, and empowerment programs.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of activities and support provided.
- Provide grievance redressal for discrimination or accessibility issues.
- Promote a culture of inclusion, equity, and empowerment across the campus.
- Liaise with government and external agencies for additional support and schemes.
