Role & Functions of the Committee
- Overall Supervision â Heads the Housekeeping Committee and ensures cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance of campus premises.
- Policy & Planning â Approves housekeeping schedules, maintenance plans, and protocols for cleanliness.
- Resource Allocation â Sanctions budget, cleaning materials, equipment, and manpower for housekeeping activities.
- Monitoring & Evaluation â Conducts periodic inspections of classrooms, labs, offices, washrooms, canteen, and campus grounds.
- Coordination â Liaises with Principal, departments, vendors, and housekeeping staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Grievance Oversight â Addresses complaints regarding cleanliness, waste management, or facility upkeep.
- Documentation & Reporting â Maintains logs of cleaning schedules, inspection reports, and maintenance records.
- Program Approval â Authorizes awareness programs on cleanliness, hygiene, and campus beautification.
- Daily Monitoring â Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of assigned areas including classrooms, labs, corridors, and restrooms.
- Support Staff Coordination â Supervise housekeeping staff and coordinate daily cleaning tasks.
- Awareness & Training â Promote hygiene awareness among students and staff; organize cleanliness drives.
- Waste Management â Ensure proper segregation, disposal, and recycling of waste materials.
- Inspection & Reporting â Report maintenance issues, supply requirements, or repair needs to the Chairman.
- Record Keeping â Maintain checklists, duty rosters, and records of cleaning activities and inspections.
- Maintain clean, hygienic, and safe campus environment for students, staff, and visitors.
- Ensure efficient use of housekeeping staff and resources.
- Conduct periodic inspections and audits of campus cleanliness.
- Promote awareness of hygiene and environmental sustainability among campus community.
- Address grievances related to cleanliness and maintenance promptly.
- Maintain records and documentation for audits, IQAC, and NAAC compliance.
- Facilitate cleanliness and hygiene during events, programs, and daily campus activities.
