Role & Functions of the Committee

  1. Overall Supervision – Heads the Housekeeping Committee and ensures cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance of campus premises.
  2. Policy & Planning – Approves housekeeping schedules, maintenance plans, and protocols for cleanliness.
  3. Resource Allocation – Sanctions budget, cleaning materials, equipment, and manpower for housekeeping activities.
  4. Monitoring & Evaluation – Conducts periodic inspections of classrooms, labs, offices, washrooms, canteen, and campus grounds.
  5. Coordination – Liaises with Principal, departments, vendors, and housekeeping staff to ensure smooth operations.
  6. Grievance Oversight – Addresses complaints regarding cleanliness, waste management, or facility upkeep.
  7. Documentation & Reporting – Maintains logs of cleaning schedules, inspection reports, and maintenance records.
  8. Program Approval – Authorizes awareness programs on cleanliness, hygiene, and campus beautification.
  9. Daily Monitoring – Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of assigned areas including classrooms, labs, corridors, and restrooms.
  10. Support Staff Coordination – Supervise housekeeping staff and coordinate daily cleaning tasks.
  11. Awareness & Training – Promote hygiene awareness among students and staff; organize cleanliness drives.
  12. Waste Management – Ensure proper segregation, disposal, and recycling of waste materials.
  13. Inspection & Reporting – Report maintenance issues, supply requirements, or repair needs to the Chairman.
  14. Record Keeping – Maintain checklists, duty rosters, and records of cleaning activities and inspections.
  15. Maintain clean, hygienic, and safe campus environment for students, staff, and visitors.
  16. Ensure efficient use of housekeeping staff and resources.
  17. Conduct periodic inspections and audits of campus cleanliness.
  18. Promote awareness of hygiene and environmental sustainability among campus community.
  19. Address grievances related to cleanliness and maintenance promptly.
  20. Maintain records and documentation for audits, IQAC, and NAAC compliance.
  21. Facilitate cleanliness and hygiene during events, programs, and daily campus activities.
