Role & Functions of the Committee

  1. Strategic Leadership – Heads the committee and ensures implementation of multidisciplinary and skill-enhancement initiatives as per NEP-2020 guidelines.
  2. Policy & Planning – Approves course structures, skill modules, certificate programs, and multidisciplinary academic activities.
  3. Coordination – Works with Principal, departments, industry partners, and external trainers to design and execute programs.
  4. Resource Approval – Sanctions funds, materials, equipment, and expert engagements required for skill-oriented programs.
  5. Monitoring & Evaluation – Reviews progress, quality of programs, student participation, and outcomes of skill enhancement activities.
  6. Documentation & Reporting – Oversees preparation of reports for IQAC, NAAC, governing body, and statutory bodies.
  7. Program Authorization – Approves workshops, training sessions, internships, field visits, and interdisciplinary activities.
  8. Program Development – Assist in designing and updating multidisciplinary courses, certificate programs, and skill enhancement modules.
  9. Training Implementation – Organize workshops, hands-on training, vocational skill sessions, and expert lectures.
  10. Industry Coordination – Establish linkages with industries, NGOs, and training agencies for internships and field-based learning.
  11. Student Support – Guide students in selecting multidisciplinary courses, skill programs, internships, and practical projects.
  12. Record Maintenance – Maintain attendance, performance records, certificates issued, and activity reports.
  13. Feedback Collection – Gather feedback from students, trainers, and departments to improve program effectiveness.
  14. Awareness Activities – Conduct orientations, counselling sessions, and promotional activities for skill development initiatives.
  15. Quality Enhancement – Ensure that programs meet academic standards, industry relevance, and NEP-2020 requirements.
  16. Provide learning opportunities across disciplines to broaden student knowledge and capabilities.
  17. Maintain complete documentation for IQAC, NAAC, and statutory compliance.
  18. Foster industry collaboration for training, internships, and practical exposure.
  19. Conduct capacity-building programs such as soft-skills, ICT skills, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving sessions.
  20. Monitor the effectiveness, relevance, and impact of skill enhancement initiatives.
