Role & Functions of the Committee

  1. Overall Leadership – Heads the Research Committee and oversees all research-related activities, policies, and initiatives.
  2. Policy & Guidelines – Approves research policies, ethical guidelines, and compliance with university/UGC standards.
  3. Resource Allocation – Sanctions funds, equipment, and infrastructure for research projects and laboratories.
  4. Coordination – Acts as liaison between Principal, faculty, departments, and external research organizations.
  5. Program Approval – Authorizes seminars, workshops, training, conferences, and funding proposals.
  6. Documentation & Reporting – Maintains records of research proposals, approvals, projects, publications, and annual reports.
  7. Grievance Oversight – Addresses disputes or issues related to research ethics, plagiarism, and project conduct.
  8. Project Support – Assist faculty and students in submitting research proposals, funding applications, and project reports.
  9. Monitoring Progress – Track the progress of ongoing research, provide guidance, and suggest improvements.
  10. Publication Assistance – Support in publishing research papers, journals, and conference proceedings.
  11. Awareness & Training – Organize workshops, seminars, and training programs on research methodology, ethics, and tools.
  12. Record Maintenance – Maintain logs of projects, funding received, publications, and research achievements.
  13. Coordination with Departments – Ensure smooth execution of departmental research initiatives.
  14. Evaluation & Feedback – Review research outputs and provide constructive feedback for quality improvement.
  15. Promote research culture, innovation, and academic excellence among faculty and students.
  16. Facilitate funding, guidance, and infrastructure for quality research projects.
  17. Ensure ethical compliance, plagiarism prevention, and academic integrity in research.
  18. Maintain accurate records of projects, publications, and research achievements.
  19. Organize seminars, conferences, workshops, and training programs to enhance research skills.
  20. Encourage collaborations, networking, and knowledge sharing with external agencies.
  21. Monitor and evaluate research outcomes for continuous improvement and reporting to IQAC/NAAC.
