Role & Functions of the Committee

  1. Overall Leadership – Oversees the mentoring program and ensures its alignment with college academic and student welfare objectives.
  2. Policy & Planning – Approves mentor-mentee allocation, mentoring schedule, and objectives.
  3. Monitoring & Evaluation – Periodically reviews mentor-mentee interactions, student progress, and program effectiveness.
  4. Coordination – Acts as liaison between Principal, departments, and mentors to ensure smooth implementation.
  5. Grievance Oversight – Addresses escalated issues or challenges faced by mentors or mentees.
  6. Documentation & Reporting – Ensures maintenance of mentor-mentee records, meeting logs, and reports for IQAC or audits.
  7. Resource Allocation – Sanctions resources for workshops, counselling sessions, and skill development programs.
  8. Program Approval – Authorizes special mentoring sessions, career guidance, or skill-building activities.
  9. Student Guidance – Provide academic, personal, and career guidance to assigned mentees.
  10. Monitoring Progress – Track mentee performance, attendance, and participation in college activities.
  11. Counselling Support – Assist students in resolving academic, personal, or social challenges.
  12. Record Maintenance – Maintain logs of meetings, mentoring sessions, and student progress reports.
  13. Awareness & Workshops – Conduct workshops on time management, study skills, career planning, and stress management.
  14. Communication – Serve as a bridge between students and faculty or administration for support and guidance.
  15. Feedback Collection – Gather feedback from mentees to improve mentoring effectiveness.
  16. Motivation & Engagement – Encourage students to actively participate in academic, cultural, and extracurricular activities.
  17. Promote academic excellence, personal development, and career readiness among students.
  18. Provide support and guidance for solving academic, social, and personal challenges.
  19. Maintain confidential and accurate records of mentor-mentee interactions.
  20. Organize skill development, awareness sessions, and motivational programs.
  21. Ensure timely feedback, reporting, and communication with administration.
  22. Foster a supportive, inclusive, and motivating campus environment.
  23. Act as role models and facilitators for students’ holistic development.
