Role & Functions of the Committee
- Overall Leadership â Oversees the mentoring program and ensures its alignment with college academic and student welfare objectives.
- Policy & Planning â Approves mentor-mentee allocation, mentoring schedule, and objectives.
- Monitoring & Evaluation â Periodically reviews mentor-mentee interactions, student progress, and program effectiveness.
- Coordination â Acts as liaison between Principal, departments, and mentors to ensure smooth implementation.
- Grievance Oversight â Addresses escalated issues or challenges faced by mentors or mentees.
- Documentation & Reporting â Ensures maintenance of mentor-mentee records, meeting logs, and reports for IQAC or audits.
- Resource Allocation â Sanctions resources for workshops, counselling sessions, and skill development programs.
- Program Approval â Authorizes special mentoring sessions, career guidance, or skill-building activities.
- Student Guidance â Provide academic, personal, and career guidance to assigned mentees.
- Monitoring Progress â Track mentee performance, attendance, and participation in college activities.
- Counselling Support â Assist students in resolving academic, personal, or social challenges.
- Record Maintenance â Maintain logs of meetings, mentoring sessions, and student progress reports.
- Awareness & Workshops â Conduct workshops on time management, study skills, career planning, and stress management.
- Communication â Serve as a bridge between students and faculty or administration for support and guidance.
- Feedback Collection â Gather feedback from mentees to improve mentoring effectiveness.
- Motivation & Engagement â Encourage students to actively participate in academic, cultural, and extracurricular activities.
- Promote academic excellence, personal development, and career readiness among students.
- Provide support and guidance for solving academic, social, and personal challenges.
- Maintain confidential and accurate records of mentor-mentee interactions.
- Organize skill development, awareness sessions, and motivational programs.
- Ensure timely feedback, reporting, and communication with administration.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and motivating campus environment.
- Act as role models and facilitators for studentsâ holistic development.
